  5. Leasing a vehicle can be an attractive alternative to financing
  6. for many reasons.  Yet anyone who has ever leased a vehicle knows
  7. that it is an ambiguous process full of illegible terms and
  8. threatening restrictions.   Lease Consultant was created in order 
  9. to help the consumer take the mystery out of  leasing.  It can 
  10. help verify that the dealer isn't "taking you to the cleaners".

  12. Lease Consultant can help you check the dealer's lease offer in 
  13. two ways:
  14.  
  15.    1) It will calculate the monthly lease payment from the terms 
  16.       agreed upon, so you don't have to rely on the dealer's 
  17.       "honesty".
  18. or
  19.    2) It will calculate the car's sale price from the monthly lease 
  20.       payment. The car's sale price is a figure most dealers try to 
  21.       hide from the consumer in order to maximize their own profit. 
  22.       Armed with this feature you are able to check the dealers profit
  23.       margin in order to avoid overpaying for the car. A leased car's 
  24.       sale price should not exceed a purchased car's sale price.

  31. To install Lease Consultant on your hard disk follow these 4 simple steps.

  33. 1. Start Windows
  34. 2. Insert disk into drive a:
  35. 3. From the Program Manager, select the File Menu and choose Run.
  36. 4. Type a:\install and press ENTER.

  41. The use of Lease Consultant is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  43. Lease Consultant is copyrighted material, protected by the copyright laws of
  44. the United States. You may not make any changes or modifications, decompile, 
  45. disassemble, or otherwise reverse-engineer the software in any way.
  46.  
  47. Lease Consulatant can be used on a trial basis provided the user does not 
  48. violate the protection afforded the licensed software by the copyright laws, 
  49. and the user agrees to the terms of the license agreement. If the user
  50. continues to use Lease Consulatant past a 30 day evaluation period the user is 
  51. obligated to purchase a license.

  53. Lease Consulatant can be used on a Local Area Network provided that a license is 
  54. obtained for the number of users that may concurrently use the software.

  56. A license for the user of Lease Consulatant can be obtained by sending a $24.95

  72. end user is granted an exclusive license to use the software on one
  73. computer at any given time.

  78. meet any requirements or that the operation of the software will be uninterrupted 
  79. or error free. The warranty does not cover any media or documentation which
  80. has been subject to damage or abuse by you or others. The software warranty
  81. does not cover any copy of the licensed software which has been altered or
  82. changed in any way.

  84. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANT ABILITY OR
  85. FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED TO THE TERM OF THE EXPRESS
  86. WARRANTIES. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied
  87. warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

  89. The warranties set forth above are in lieu of any and all other express
  90. or implied warranties, whether oral, written, or implied, and the remedies
  91. set forth above are the sole and exclusive remedies.

  93. The author, Steven Hodorov, is not responsible for any problems or damages caused
  94. by the licensed software that may result from using the licensed software.
  95. This includes, but is not limited to, computer hardware, computer software,
  96. operating systems, and any computer or computing accessories. End user agrees
  97. to hold Steven Hodorov harmless for any problems arising from the user 
  98. of the software.

  100. The author, Steven Hodorov, SHALL NOT IN ANY CASE BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, 
  101. INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT OR OTHER SIMILAR DAMAGES ARISING FROM
  102. ANY BREACH OF THESE WARRANTIES EVEN IF Steven Hodorov OR HIS AGENTS
  103. OR DISTRIBUTORS HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE. Some
  104. states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
  105. damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

  107. In no case shall Steven Hodorov's liability exceed the license fees
  108. paid for the right to use the licensed software.

  110. Distribution

  112. Users are granted a limited license to copy Lease Consulatant only for the trial use
  113. by others subject to the terms of this software license agreement described
  114. herein, and the conditions described below are met:

  116. Lease Consulatant MUST be copied in and unmodified form and MUST contain 
  117. the following files:

  119.    Lease.EXE
  120.    Lease.HLP
  121.    Lease.TXT
  122.  
  123. No fee, charge or other compensation may be accepted or requested by
  124. anyone without the express written permission of the author, Steven Hodorov.
  125.  
  126. Public Domain Disk Vendors, Shareware Disk Vendors and Distributors of public
  127. domain and user supported software  may not charge a fee for Lease Consulatant
  128. itself. However, you may include Lease Consulatant on a diskette for which you 
  129. charge a nominal distribution fee. The purchaser of said diskette must be 
  130. informed in advance that the fee paid to acquire the diskette does NOT relieve 
  131. said purchaser from paying the registration fee for Lease Consulatant if said 
  132. purchaser uses Lease Consulatant.

  134. Operators of electronic bulletin board systems may post Lease Consulatant for 
  135. downloading by their users without written permission only as long as the above conditions
  136. are met. A fee may be charged for access to the bbs as long as no specific fee
  137. is charged for downloading Lease Consulatant files.
